Homeowners Party

Owners know how to have fun and celebrated 101 years of the island on the weekend of October 21, 2023 and the days leading up to it. Owners got together for a number of fun and useful activies. It started with a group clean up & recycle, an island bazaar and on Thursday a Chili Cook-off at our Fire Station. Our family couldn’t make these events but the pictures looked like a great time for our community. Friday night was a poker run which included stops around the island to gather a card at each location and then on to the beach at sunset to find who had the best hand! Over the weekend their was a pickleball tournament, our homeowners party (the band was rocking) and a cornhole tournament played at the party. Our family entered 2 of us and while we had a good time we didn’t last long. The even better part was pickleball and cornhold raised money for island conservation efforts while also providing a good time. It wrapped up with brunch hosted at the Fire Station on Sunday. Island homeowners celebrated this special place and it was especially bittersweet after hurricane Ian landed one year ealier to be together having fun and supporting each other in various aspects of recovery.
